Required Reading

This was required reading for my History of the Beatles class at Indiana Univeristy the Fall of 1989. Written by Peter Brown and Steven Gaines, it's probably the best book on the Beatles. I recently took it with on a flight to San Francisco and didn't realize that time has taken it's toll.

It may be time to invest in a newer edition with an new foreword by Anthony DeCurtis and different cover.

Required Reading For the Young

Who Were The Beatles by Geoff Edgers
Cute book with lots of illustrations. There's a chapter on each Beatle, forming of the band, Beatlemania, the beginning of the end, going solo, to name a few.

The book is extra special to me because the last chapter is titled The Saddest Day. It tells the story of John's death. And till 9/11 that truly was the saddest day for me.

I believe my daughter may have received the book from either the Easter Bunny or Santa Claus, I can't remember. All I know is I am off to do some easy reading
